Taxpayers paying twice!!

While touring the Upper York Sewage Solutions demonstration plant in January this year, we were told that the future plant would remove Phosphorus to 0.015mg/L. That is 97% lower than what comes out the Duffin’s Creek plant.
We asked, what happens to the concentrated stream with high levels of Phosphorus. “It will be put down the York Durham Sewer System.” Which feeds the Duffin’s Creek Plant.
So, pay money to remove Phosphorus in York Region then pay again to remove SOME of it at the Duffin’s Creek Plant.
That’s our (York and Durham residents) tax dollars to remove Phosphorus TWICE, but of course the second time, we won’t remove as much!! Let it go into Lake Ontario.
